More accurately, purification is the core of his thoughts, so that there is almost no doctrine without the element of "purity" in his mystical ideas. Therefore, a complete and comprehensive understanding of John's mystical system is based on understanding his idea of purification. John divides purity into two stages: active and passive. Active purity is on the side of the mystic seeker, and passive purity is on the side of God. John speaks of "dark night of sense" and "dark night of soul" as levels of purity and considers them as the way to reach enlightenment, enlightened love and "spiritual marriage". Using the descriptive-analytical method, this article explains and examines the theory of purification and the position of purity in John's mystical system. «تطهیر» یا «تهذیب نفس» بن‌مایه اندیشه عرفانی خوان دلاکروز، معروف به «یوحنای صلیبی» است، بلکه دقیق‌تر این است که بگوییم: تهذیب تاروپود اندیشه او را شکل داده است، به‌گونه‌ای که تقریباً هیچ آموزه‌ای بدون عنصر «طهارت» در دستگاه عرفانی او دیده نمی‌شود. بنابراین فهم کامل و جامع دستگاه عرفانی یوحنا مبتنی بر فهم دستگاه تهذیبی اوست. یوحنا طهارت را به دو مرحله «فعال» و «منفعل» تقسیم می‌کند. «طهارت فعال» عملی این‌سویی و از طرف سالک است و «طهارت منفعل» عملی آن‌سویی و از طرف حق است. یوحنا «شب تیره حس» و «شب تیره روح» را به‌عنوان مراتب طهارت مطرح می‌کند و آن دو را راه رسیدن به اشراق، عشق منور و «نکاح روحانی» می‌داند. این مقاله با روش تحلیلی ـ توصیفی نظریه تهذیبی و جایگاه طهارت در دستگاه عرفانی یوحنا را تبیین و بررسی می‌کند. https://erfani.nashriyat.ir/sites/erfani.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2021079-1708415310.pdf
