Mystical or esoteric interpretation, along with exoteric interpretation, is a way to achieve the inner layers of revelation. Among the different theories on the meaning of esoteric interpretation of the Quran, the theories proposed by the people of knowledge are the most similar ones to the words of Holy Prophet's family. Mystical interpretation has different types including longitudinal and horizontal ones, each with different principles and foundations. Infallible Imams indirectly pointed to some of the methods, principles and foundations of esoteric interpretation of the Quran and used them to interpret and expound the inner meanings of Quranic magnificence. However, some researchers, due to their unfamiliarity with the principles and foundations of mystical interpretation, imagine that this type of interpretation contradicts with Infallible Imams' interpretive method and principles. The present paper seeks to eliminate this imagination through reviewing some traditions which deal with esoteric interpretation and comparing the principles and methods of mystical interpretation with infallible Imams' interpretive principles and methods. اهل معرفت برای تفسیر کریمه های وحی از روشی ویژه بهره می برند که از آن در مجامع علمی با نام های گوناگونی همچون تفسیر عرفانی، تفسیر شهودی و تفسیر رمزی یاد می شود. تفسیر عرفانی یا همان تأویل، در کنار تفسیر ظاهری، روشی برای رسیدن به لایه های باطنی کلام وحی است. در میان نظریات گوناگونی که دربارة معنای تأویل قرآن مطرح می شود، اهل معرفت شبیه ترین نظریات را به سخنان اهل بیت علیهما السلام دارند.     تأویل عرفانی انواعی دارد که تأویل طولی و عرضی از جملة آنهاست. هریک از این دو نوع تأویل اصول و مبانی گوناگونی دارند. اهل بیت علیهما السلام در اثنای سخنانشان به برخی از این روش ها، اصول و مبانی تفسیر باطنی قرآن اشاره می کردند و در تفسیر و تأویل کریمه های قرآنی آنها را جاری می ساختند، لیکن گروهی از محققان به سبب آشنانبودن با اصول و مبانی تفسیر عرفانی، این نوع تفسیر را با روش و مبانی تفسیری اهل بیت علیهما السلام مخالف می پندارند. در این نوشتار بر آن شدیم تا با بررسی برخی روایات که دربردارندة موضوع تأویل اند، و نیز تطبیق مبانی و روش های تفسیر عرفانی با مبانی و روش های تفسیری اهل بیت، این پندار را بزداییم. https://erfani.nashriyat.ir/sites/erfani.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2_1.pdf
