Having a mission given to them by God, the angels are found in all the grades of existence and they appear like this at all time. Therefore, some of them are non-material and some have heavenly forms. These means of grace and divine workers who are referred to in all religious texts, in their different types and descriptions, perform their duties without any force and with full freedom. They are equipped with divine knowledge and have existential ranks which are in accord with their abilities and accomplishments. Therefore, they are awarded such medals like being ‘brought-near servants’’, ‘‘glorifiers’’, ‘’infallibles’’ and the like. مراتب هستی نزد حکمای مسلمان، شامل عقول، مثال و ماده است. ملائکه با مأموریتی که از جانب حق تعالی دارند، در تمام مراتب هستی حاضرند و در هر موطنی با لباس همان مقام حضور پیدا می کنند. از این رو، برخی مجرد و برخی با ابدان سماوی هستند. این وسایط فیض و کارگزاران الهی، که در سراسر متون دینی توصیف شده اند، در اصناف و اوصاف متعددی، وظایف خود را بدون هیج گونه جبری در نهایت اختیار و اراده انجام می دهند و بر اساس قابلیت ها و کمالاتی که دارند، به علم الهی آراسته شده و در مراتب هستی سکنا گزیده اند. از این رو، مدال «عباد مقرب»، «مسبِح»، «معصوم» و مانند آن را بر گردن آویخته اند. https://erfani.nashriyat.ir/sites/erfani.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2007177.pdf
